I'm hired

I am Nathan Ladd and I have received an internship at Mission Norman, a local food shelter and office for a series of house churches. I will be doing public relations work for them, such as a newsletter, updating their website, communicating with the public and media, and fundraising. Mission Norman does a lot to help the poor and needy in Norman. They not only provide food, but also counseling and prayer. The chain of Bible studies, Mission Norman is able to establish relationships with many of these people and minister to them on a long term and personal basis. There are not many other food shelters that are able to minister to people like this.

My job will be to inform the community about the services that Mission Norman supplies and to gain support for them. Mission Norman always needs volunteers and funding. I will rally support from local churches and community using the website, meetings, and press releases. I hope to help raise funding and volunteers significantly so that Mission Norman may function at its full potential and grow. I am excited to be working here.
